Nicholas Martin needs no introduction. A former resident organist at Blackpool Tower Ballroom, resident organist at Turners Musical Merry-go-Round for 21 years and Wickstead Park for a further 5 years, Nicholas continues to entertain audiences the world over.
Co-hosting the event with Nicholas, Tim Butterworth has been playing professionally for over 20 years on the organ circuit. Having turned full time professional in 2006, Tim has rapidly gained popularity across the UK for both concert and dance work, performing well over 100 public engagements in 2009.
DirkJan Ranzijn is one of the most dynamic contemporary organ/keyboard players currently on the international circuit. He resides in Holland where he performs for many different events - ranging from concerts to T.V. broadcasts and much radio work. He tours extensively around the major European countries - especially the U.K. - using his Dr. BOHM organ. This instrument enables him to reproduce all the sounds of the orchestra and the the modern European organ sounds too - that is so very popular on the continent.
John Bowdler took up his post at Blackpool Tower at the age of 16 and 21 years later remains one of the most popular resident organists on the Blackpool Tower team. In constant demand across the country for concert and dance work, we are delighted to be able to have him join us at our musical weekend.
Joanne Naulls was ten years of age when she started to play the organ. Mum and Dad were organ fans and bought an old Galanti for the vast sum of £175. Christened the "Queen of the Hammond" by Ian Wolstenholme after being featured on his radio show, and equally at home on either pipe or electronic instruments, a recent question was answered when she checked and found there was a total of 18 pipe organs throughout the country she had played. With an ever increasing diary for the next three years, when not playing her time is spent teaching the organ.
